Finding a homeopath in Brighton, when the options feel endless

Maybe it’s the anxiety that hums under everything, hormones that have quietly rewritten your sleep, or a child’s skin that flares whenever life does. You’ve decided to try something gentler, and then you hit Brighton’s next problem: the city has more therapies than most towns see in a lifetime, and no easy way to know who to trust with your health.

Sarah Allenby-Byrne is a good place to land. Clients tend to mention the same thing first, not her qualifications but the feeling of finally being properly listened to. She has practised holistically for over twenty years, is a Society of Homeopaths registered homeopath (SDSHom RSHom), and works with Brighton clients from Hanover, Seven Dials, Preston Park, Fiveways and beyond — in person one short train ride down the coastway line in Shoreham-by-Sea, or online.

Meet Sarah Allenby-Byrne

Sarah has been practising holistically for over twenty years, qualifying as a homeopath in 2008 after an intensive four-year course at the South Downs School of Homeopathy in Chichester. Alongside homeopathy she is a certified coach and has practised biofield healing for more than two decades.

What clients mention most, though, isn’t the qualifications — it’s the feeling of finally being properly listened to. Sessions are unhurried, warm, and entirely about you: your health, your story, and what would genuinely help.

Getting to Sarah from Brighton

The coastway train from Brighton station reaches Shoreham-by-Sea in about fifteen minutes, and the practice is close to the station. Driving takes twenty to twenty-five minutes along the A259, and parking in Shoreham is far kinder than anything in central Brighton.

If a trip out of the city doesn’t fit the week you’re having, online consultations run to exactly the same length and depth. Plenty of clients mix the two.

Homeopathy in Brighton — your questions answered

How do I choose a homeopath in Brighton?

Look for registration first. Sarah Allenby-Byrne holds SDSHom and RSHom with the Society of Homeopaths, which requires four years of accredited training, professional insurance, continuing development and a strict code of ethics. Beyond credentials, most people simply book a free 15-minute call. There’s no selling on it: Sarah will tell you honestly whether homeopathy is a sensible avenue for what you’re experiencing, and point you elsewhere if it isn’t.

Do you see Brighton clients in person?

Yes. The practice is in Shoreham-by-Sea, about fifteen minutes from Brighton station by train or twenty-five by car. Some Brighton clients come in person, others stay online, and switching between the two is always fine.

How much does a homeopath cost?

Sessions with Sarah are £55 per hour. First consultations usually run sixty to ninety minutes so your health story gets proper time, and you’ll always know the full cost before you book. If you’d like to talk first, the introductory 15-minute call is free.

What happens at a first appointment?

It’s a long, relaxed conversation of around sixty to ninety minutes covering your health, your history and your day-to-day life. There’s nothing to prepare. Sarah then selects a remedy matched to everything she’s heard, and shorter follow-ups track how it’s working.

Is homeopathy suitable for children?

Children make up a large part of Sarah’s practice. Remedies are gentle and non-toxic, which is why parents often explore homeopathy for eczema, recurring coughs and colds, sleep troubles and worry. Appointments are relaxed and child-friendly, whether in person or online.

Can homeopathy support perimenopause and menopause?

This is one of the most frequent reasons women contact Sarah. Because a consultation covers the whole picture, from hot flushes and sleep to mood and energy, clients often find homeopathy a valuable support through perimenopause, whether alongside HRT or without it. One client, Anna, described her results for peri-menopause symptoms as “remarkable”.

Is Sarah a registered homeopath?

Yes. Sarah Allenby-Byrne holds SDSHom and RSHom registration with the Society of Homeopaths, having qualified through an intensive four-year course at the South Downs School of Homeopathy. Registration means she is fully trained, insured, and bound by a strict code of ethics with ongoing professional development.

Can I use homeopathy alongside conventional medicine?

Yes. Remedies are highly diluted and non-toxic, so they sit comfortably alongside conventional care. Sarah will never advise you to stop or change prescribed medication; that decision always belongs with you and your GP.

Also serving areas around Brighton

Sarah welcomes clients from across the Brighton area and along the Sussex coast, in person or online.
