A homeopath near Hove who works around your week, not against it
Hove life has a particular rhythm: the commute, the school gates on Portland Road, a diary that never quite closes. Your own health tends to go last on the list. So the low-level exhaustion gets normalised, the hormonal shifts get pushed through, and the thing you meant to sort in January is still there in July.
Sarah Allenby-Byrne makes it easy to stop postponing. She is a Society of Homeopaths registered homeopath (SDSHom RSHom) based ten minutes away in Shoreham-by-Sea, and she sees BN3 clients from Poets’ Corner, the avenues, Hove Park and West Blatchington, in person or online. What clients notice first is how different the pace is: a first consultation is sixty to ninety unhurried minutes about you, your sleep, your stress and your history, so the remedy she chooses fits your life as it actually is.

Your homeopath
Meet Sarah Allenby-Byrne
Sarah has been practising holistically for over twenty years, qualifying as a homeopath in 2008 after an intensive four-year course at the South Downs School of Homeopathy in Chichester. Alongside homeopathy she is a certified coach and has practised biofield healing for more than two decades.
What clients mention most, though, isn’t the qualifications — it’s the feeling of finally being properly listened to. Sessions are unhurried, warm, and entirely about you: your health, your story, and what would genuinely help.

Getting to Sarah from Hove
By car, Shoreham-by-Sea is ten to fifteen minutes from most of BN3 along the coast road, with easy parking at the other end. By train it’s a few stops on the coastway line from Hove or Aldrington, quicker than getting into central Brighton at rush hour.
On the weeks when even that feels like too much, book online instead. The session is the same length and depth either way, and plenty of Hove clients move between the two.
Homeopathy in Hove — your questions answered
Is there a registered homeopath near Hove?
Yes. Sarah Allenby-Byrne (SDSHom RSHom, Society of Homeopaths) practises in Shoreham-by-Sea, ten to fifteen minutes from most of Hove by car and a few stops on the coastway train from Hove or Aldrington stations. She also offers full online consultations for BN3 clients.
Can I fit appointments around work and school runs?
That’s how most Hove clients use the practice. Daytime and evening slots are available, follow-ups are shorter than first consultations, and any session can be switched to online if the week fills up. Nothing about the process assumes you have spare time to burn.
How much does a homeopath cost?
Sessions with Sarah are £55 per hour. First consultations usually run sixty to ninety minutes so your health story gets proper time, and you’ll always know the full cost before you book. If you’d like to talk first, the introductory 15-minute call is free.
What happens at a first appointment?
It’s a long, relaxed conversation of around sixty to ninety minutes covering your health, your history and your day-to-day life. There’s nothing to prepare. Sarah then selects a remedy matched to everything she’s heard, and shorter follow-ups track how it’s working.
Is homeopathy suitable for children?
Children make up a large part of Sarah’s practice. Remedies are gentle and non-toxic, which is why parents often explore homeopathy for eczema, recurring coughs and colds, sleep troubles and worry. Appointments are relaxed and child-friendly, whether in person or online.
Can homeopathy support perimenopause and menopause?
This is one of the most frequent reasons women contact Sarah. Because a consultation covers the whole picture, from hot flushes and sleep to mood and energy, clients often find homeopathy a valuable support through perimenopause, whether alongside HRT or without it. One client, Anna, described her results for peri-menopause symptoms as “remarkable”.
Is Sarah a registered homeopath?
Yes. Sarah Allenby-Byrne holds SDSHom and RSHom registration with the Society of Homeopaths, having qualified through an intensive four-year course at the South Downs School of Homeopathy. Registration means she is fully trained, insured, and bound by a strict code of ethics with ongoing professional development.
Can I use homeopathy alongside conventional medicine?
Yes. Remedies are highly diluted and non-toxic, so they sit comfortably alongside conventional care. Sarah will never advise you to stop or change prescribed medication; that decision always belongs with you and your GP.
Also serving areas around Hove
Sarah welcomes clients from across the Hove area and along the Sussex coast, in person or online.
